Terms of service

The service

BackupWitness is operated by [name pending] (Krpasoft), company ID [companyId pending], [address pending]. It lists objects in storage you point it to and alerts you when the result breaks the rules you set. It checks metadata (existence, age, size, count). It does not verify that a backup can be restored, and it never reads object contents.

Your responsibilities

• Use keys with the narrowest permissions your provider offers, and only for storage you are allowed to monitor.
• Keep your email address working: alerts go there.
• Do not use the service to probe or load systems you do not control.

Plans and limits

The Free plan is free. Paid plans, their prices and limits are listed on the home page. Paid plans are sold through a payment provider acting as merchant of record; its terms apply to the purchase.

No warranty, limited liability

We work to deliver every check and alert, but the service is provided as is. A missed or late alert can happen (for example during an outage of us, your storage or an alert channel). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or indirect damage, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. These terms are governed by Czech law.
